Next Step is a 48-bed extended community setting program especially designed to aid men in regaining their freedom from the disease of chemical dependency. Next Step provides an alternative to traditional inpatient treatment programs in an environment that is both clinical and cost-effective by a multi-disciplinary staff including psychiatrists and full-time addiction medicine specialists. Next Step patients live in cottages on the Pine Grove campus where they are involved in shopping and cooking their own meals..
Impaired Professionals
Since 1984, the Impaired Healthcare Professionals tract has been a major focus of our treatment program. Healthcare professionals participate in a specialized tract during their treatment at Next Step. Specific therapy groups for professionals in all phases of treatment are held on a weekly basis. Healthcare professionals also attend Caduceus meetings and have close contact with their attending physicians to address questions regarding medical issues and/or monitoring.
In Phase II, healthcare professionals participate in Mirror Therapy with patients at Pine Grove Recovery Center. As discharge approaches, healthcare professionals are referred to advocacy and monitoring groups. At Next Step, we work with the advocate and/or each patient's referral source to find appropriate aftercare services.. Living Sober
Recovery from chemical dependency is a long-term process requiring practice and commitment. Next Step's Living Sober extended treatment program provides the structured, therapeutic environment patients need to achieve long-term recovery.
Patients live in apartment-style facilities for six months to one year. During this time, patients may work or attend college while continuing to develop life skills necessary for successful recovery. (888) 574-HOPE
